
Berry Toastie | Slimming & Weight Watchers Friendly
A cheese toastie…but not as you know it! For this berry-sweet twist on the classic, we’ve filled our sandwich with cream cheese and mixed berries, before toasting it to golden perfection. A dusting of icing sugar and a drizzle of maple syrup and you’ve got a dreamy sweet treat to start the day!

Ingredients
- 2 slices of Danish Lighter white bread
- 40 g frozen mixed berries, defrosted
- 2 tbsp low-fat cream cheese
- 1 tsp reduced-fat spread
- 1 tsp white granulated sweetener
- ½ tsp icing sugar
- ½ tsp maple syrup
- low-calorie cooking spray
Instructions
- Add the cream cheese and sweetener to a small bowl and mix until combined.
- Spread one side of each slice of bread with the reduced-fat spread. Flip the bread over and spread the cream cheese onto both slices.
- Arrange the fruit on one slice of bread and place the other piece of bread on top, with the cream cheese side facing inwards.
- Spray a frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and set on a low heat. When the pan is hot, add the toastie and cook for 1-2 minutes. Flip and cook for a further 1-2 minutes. The bread should be golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the toastie from the pan and cut in half. Dust with icing sugar and drizzle over the maple syrup. Serve.
