Spiced Parsnip Fries | Slimming & Weight Watchers Friendly
These Spiced Parsnip Fries aren’t just a doddle to make; they’re nutritious, delicious, and coated in a slimming-friendly glaze that tastes like Christmas. We’ve combined chilli, garlic and sticky-sweet honey to make every mouthful moreish and satisfying. Try a handful with your next roast dinner, or swap them in wherever you’d normally serve sweet potato fries for a low-calorie way to change things up.

- large mixing bowl
- non-stick baking paper
Ingredients
- 600 g parsnips peeled and cut into approx. 1cm thick sticks (prepared weight)
- 2 tsp mild curry powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp runny honey
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- low-calorie cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C fan and line a large baking tray with a sheet of non-stick baking paper.
- Put the parsnips, curry powder, garlic powder and honey in a large mixing bowl and season well with salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste. Toss to coat the parsnips evenly.
- Spread the parsnip fries in a single layer on the lined baking tray and spray with low-calorie cooking spray. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, then turn over and spray again with low-calorie cooking spray. Cook for a further 20 minutes or until golden, crisp around the edges and soft inside. Serve.
